Annual Awards

The following awards annually highlight the distinguished service of selected
members.  The selections are made through votes cast by members of the firefighter
department.

Fred Schloegel Award

For the most dedicated volunteer firefighter!


Edgar Conover  “Member of the Year” Award

For the member most dedicated to firefighting and to company activities, participating
in special details, clean-ups, helping at breakfasts and all around person!  (line
Officers are inclued.)

Joseph Cottrell, SR Award
“Distinguished Honor Memorial Award”

For the member who is a dedicated firefighter and goes above and beyond the call of
duty for the betterment of Company 2!

These awards are based on the stated criteria, not simply on popularity.  They are
bestowed on the selected recipients at the annual Installation Dinner, usually held in
January.  They are prepared and presented by the SPFD-2 Ladies Auxiliary, as part
of their many valuable functions in service to the fire department.
